How do I create my first resume?
Create a free account, then choose Build Resume. There are three steps: pick a template and enter your details, add the job you are applying for and use the AI tools if you want them, then review and download. Your first resume is free to build.
How can I enter my details?
Three ways. Paste your resume text and let AI sort it into sections (25 credits, or none with Premium). Upload a PDF, Word or text file of up to 2 MB. Or type each section in yourself. Whichever you choose, you can edit everything afterwards.
What is a profile?
A profile holds your details for one kind of role, and each resume belongs to a profile. Your first profile is free. Another one, for example for a second career path, uses 30 credits, or none with Premium.
Can I edit my resume after creating it?
Yes. Open it from your dashboard, change what you need and save. You can also rename, duplicate or delete a resume there.
What file formats do you support?
You can upload a PDF, DOC, DOCX or TXT file of up to 2 MB. Resumes and cover letters download as PDF.
What does the AI do?
It rewrites what you give it. Paste a job description and it suggests a summary and bullet points that fit the posting, based on the experience you entered. Read the result before you use it: you can edit or replace anything.
What happens to my data?
Your resumes are stored in your account so you can come back and edit them. From the account page you can download a copy of your data or delete your account.
Can I keep several versions of my resume?
Yes. Your first resume is free. Each one after that uses 20 credits, or none with Premium. Duplicating a resume from the dashboard is a quick way to start a version for another job.
How many templates are there?
47. 3 are free. The others come with Premium, or you can unlock one at a time for 12 credits. You can switch template at any point without re-entering your details.
Is there a cover letter?
Yes. The builder lays out a cover letter with your name and contact details, and you download it as a PDF from the same menu as your resume. A cover letter PDF uses 8 credits, or none with Premium.
How do credits work?
Credits are the pay-as-you-go way to use ResumeLoom. A new account gets 30 credits. Each download or AI feature takes a set number of credits, and you can buy more in packs. With Premium ($9.99 a month) none of these features use credits.
What does each feature cost in credits?
Resume PDF download: 8. Cover letter PDF download: 8. AI rewrite: 25. ATS check: 30. Skill gap analysis: 35. Unlocking one premium template: 12, once. Portfolio page: 50. The credits page shows pack prices.
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the day you buy them. The credits page shows your balance and when credits expire.
Do I need credits if I have Premium?
No. With Premium, downloads, AI features, every template, extra resumes and profiles, and a portfolio page do not use credits. Credits you already have stay in your account.
What happens if I do not have enough credits?
You see how many credits the feature needs and how many you have, with the option to buy a pack or get Premium. After you pay, the credits are added and you can carry on.
Are there bonuses when buying credits?
Yes. Your first purchase within 30 days of signing up includes 20% extra credits, and larger packs include bonus credits. Any bonus that applies to you is shown before you pay.
